in China, electricity mainly come from coal fired power generating facilities.

Enormous amount of PFA accumulates when pulverized coal burns during power generation.

​It had been common practice that PFA be transported to a dump site about 20km away from the power station by pipeline with water.

Cenosphere would float out of water surface of reservoir at the dump site.

people would collect them by any means and put them into PP bags and pile them at one side of the reservoir.
